Third Party Event Round-Up
Since 2012, the AP Fund has been a consistent source of support for CancerFightClub, Hope & Cope’s program for young adults (18-39) with cancer. Honouring the memory of Antony Proteau, a brave and compassionate young man who lost his battle with cancer at the age of 23, this fund was established by a close-knit group of Antony’s friends. Each year, they host a minimum of two spirited, well attended, jam-packed events: a gala dinner in March and a Ball Hockey Tournament in June. We are grateful to the AP Fund for its compassion and support of young adults.
Meanwhile, the organizers of the Dorval, Sources and Saint-Henri Auto Parts Walk-a-thon are hard at work planning the 12th edition of this annual fundraising walk in support of our cancer exercise and rehabilitation program at the Wellness Centre. Since its inception, this event has raised more than half-a-million dollars for Hope & Cope! This 7 km scenic walk in Chomedey, Laval, scheduled for Sunday, September 8th, features a family-friendly, easy route, great food, a wonderful atmosphere and lots of exciting raffle prizes. As usual, Hope & Cope is putting together a team consisting of staff, volunteers and our exercise participants who train for this event under the watchful eyes of our gym staff and volunteers. We would love to have you join our team of walkers! A minimum donation of $25 is required to secure your participation.
