Hope & Cope

Dr. Albert Chan, a psychologist at Maggie's Centre in Hong Kong, paid a visit to our Wellness Centre to learn more about our approach. Maggie's Centres provide practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends.

Dr. Chan provides one-on-one counselling, family counselling and runs a weekly men's support group. He was most impressed with the Wellness Centre and with our use of cancer experienced volunteers, a model that he believes would work well in China but would not be appropriate for Hong Kong.

Dr Albert Chan, psychologue au Centre Maggie's, a visité notre Centre de bien-être, afin d'en apprendre plus sur notre approche. Il a été fortement impressionné par notre Centre et par les services assurés par des bénévoles, fortes de leur expérience du cancer, modèle exemplaire qu'il croiit pourrait être appliqué en Chine, mais ne pourrait pas servir à Hong Kong.
